We can take an idea from conception through completion. Decaying OrbitHogofilm's feature-length film Decaying Orbit was produced entirely in-house and released in 2007. The $50K film featured hundreds of CG special effects. The film was nominated for three awards at the 6th annual Shockerfest Film Festival: Best Sci-Fi Feature Film, Best Actress in a Sci-Fi/Fantasy Film (Osa Wallander), and Best Actor in a Sci-Fi/Fantasy Film (Andy Allen). Osa Wallander won the Best Actress award. The film was also nominated for Best Feature Film at the 2007 Terror Film Festival. ![]()
IRrelevant AstronomyIRrelevant Astronomy (the "IR" stands for "infrared") is a comedic educational video series produced by NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope. Hogofilm president Tim Pyle writes & directs the series, and Hogofilm has contributed animation from the beginning. The series was a top-10 finalist at the 2008 Podcast Awards in the Technology/Science division. The episode M51 & Gizmo won a Best of Festival award at the 2008 Kids First Film Festival, as well as an Aegis Award and a CINE Golden Eagle Award.
